The best thing to do while shopping is to have an open mind when it comes to your wardrobe and that also means shopping in other clothing departments. For example, my sizing most often fits into the largest sizes of the “misses/women’s” department or the first few sizes in the plus size department. This all depends on where I am shopping as well but I make sure to visit the teen section, women’s/misses section, the plus size section and even the maternity section! They make some pretty good clothes in the maternity section AND that means a little extra room! There has also been times where I have shopped in the men’s and boy’s departments. I am always quick to run into my 13 year old brothers room if I need a hoodie, button up shirt or polo. You want a pair of boyfriend jeans? Go get some pants that were actually made for you boyfriend. Where do you think designers actually came up with that idea?

Don’t get too caught up in your size and shop only in one specific section. The size charts over lap each other and the point is that no one is going to know what size it is when you wear it! Shopping this way also gives you plenty of other clearance racks to browse which allows you to stick to shopping tip number 1!

So, I took an unexpected Independence Day vacation but I’m back with a super cute Flawless Forless find. My all time favorite artist, Beyonce, has been traveling with her husband and stepped off the jet in this gorgeous draped one shoulder dress. Beyonce tends to stick to the styles that work for her instead of wearing every single trend that is hot at the moment. I think that is why I love her style so much.

I CANNOT stress enough the importance of having coupons. These little bits of papers and stock card have helped me save plenty of money. For example, before a shopping trip I picked up my mail and grabbed the coupons sent to me from Express. I also had birthday dollars from joining their A-list team. In total I had $40 worth of coupons and birthday dollars!

The trick to also saving with coupons is to stay within the limits! If your coupon says $15 off $30, SPEND ONLY $30 unless you are looking to buy an expensive item and just want to save a couple bucks. With my $40 in coupons, I was able to get $40 worth of jewelry from the store and spent nothing more.

Buy things on sale when you use your coupons. Some stores do not accept coupons on clearance items but if they do, you will be able to grab plenty of items while staying in budget. If the terms don’t allow you to shop on clearance then go for things that are BOGO (buy one get one) or other sales along those lines.

Most importantly use your coupons if you NEED them. Do not go shopping just because you have the coupons. Shop because you want to shop and not simply because you have the coupons in your hands. This avoids wasted money. You also should keep the coupons with you, just incase you happen to do any unexpected shopping.

(First, excuse my over packed and messy closet!) My roommate and I made it to the mall to find an outfit for her birthday party this week. I picked the BEST outfit for her and I will post it Saturday. It is absolutely adorable! In the mist of looking for an outfit for her, I also found some great things on sale, including this chocolate brown romper from The Limited. I usually do not shop in this store because they tend to be a little expensive but they had a great sale yesterday. The romper was originally $69.50 and was on the sale rack for $16.99. When I got to the register, the amazing sales rep discounted the romper to $14.76! YES! I also picked up another pair of the $5 shorts from H&M and the cheetah print tank top from their line of $4.95 tees and tanks. Great shopping day.
